Although it was 100 degrees for Celeste and Charles' wedding at Spring Mountain Estate in St. Helena last weekend. . . don't they look cool and calm?  I love the lavender hillside at this exclusive property.  It looks as if they are in the French countryside instead of the Napa Valley.  Beautiful couple and it ended up being a gorgeous evening.

Charles Krug Winery: Rustic Italian Inspiration

One of the most naturally beautiful Napa Valley wedding venues is the amazing Charles Krug Winery! Full of fabulous ceremony and reception locations, Charles Krug has an organic and raw simplicity that creates this European meets magical forest world all their own. For this gorgeous wedding, the bride wanted that organic simplicity to shine through the design, florals and food.
“Food was really important to the couple. So they went with Paula le Duc Catering, which is the french laundry of catering! The service is bar none and it’s just fabulous food. And Paula is just wonderful,” shares wedding planner Kathy Higgins.

Delightful Design

The sweet handmade and unique design of this wedding was a mesh between the organic and natural feel the bride desired, and using fun and creative pieces like the Etsy place-cards and veggies in the floral arrangements. The bride found the fun menus and place-cards, which creatively displayed the dish each guest had chosen (fish, beef, etc.), on Etsy. This tied in the “playful” part of the design that the bride desired, and blended well with the organic/natural feel of the venue and other design elements (including the standout birchwood chuppah in the ceremony above!).

A lovely wedding at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma which I Do Venues published.  Our wonderful Sylvie Gil was the photographer on this one.  Simple really can be beautiful, don't you think? 

FAVORITES

We all, of course, have our favorites and this one is just ONE of mine.  The most wonderful clients, floral designer, caterer, musicians and the gorgeous site.  It was a perfect early September day at Black Swan Lake, the vines loaded with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.  The aroma of 'crush' in the air.  I love this look, so clean, modern and fresh.    

Those 'ghost' chairs were perfect and truly comfortable.   
We actually covered the swimming pool with plexi-glass so everyone could dance as if on air.  Click on 'Information' to see a video of Ali and Matt's fabulous wedding.

Ginger and Dan's Engagement Photos

Lisa Neighbor, photographer extraordinaire of Blonde Tulip, just launched her own blog and put up photos of my next bride and groom, Ginger and Dan.  I just couldn't help myself and want to share these with you.

Ginger and Dan are tying the knot at Solage Calistoga on June 18.  What a delight they have been to work with.  Fun, creative and they each have the most wonderful moms.  Could I ask for anything more?  Can't wait for the wedding.  Ginger has added her own fabulous touches to their day.  Stay tuned!
